Romantic Christmas Vacation Ideas

If you are searching for a unique and private getaway over the Christmas holidays, free from large crowds with excitable children, then there are some beautiful destinations all over the world, where you can have fun filled and romantic Christmas vacations.

Romantic Christmas vacations can be set on in most places around the world. How about the most romantic city in the world &endash; Paris, France? Take in the amazing sites of the Eiffel tower and take a leisurely stroll down the cobble stoned streets lined with gorgeous old buildings or shop 'til you drop at the famous fashion houses. See the museums and galleries and most of all enjoy the European Christmas celebrations with the streets and shops and houses filled with tinsel, Christmas trees and mistletoe.

Your search for romantic Christmas vacations could lead you to the more summery, tropical islands like that of the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. The many islands to choose from will make your life hard, as there are so many isolated parts with sandy beaches and quaint villages, but also steeped in historic attractions and wildlife. This Christmas holiday will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated ready to face a new year.

If wildlife is definitely your idea of spending quality Christmas time with your loved one then why not take romantic Christmas vacations to a whole new level and safari in game parks or reserves. You can choose to stay in a bungalow which is freshly cleaned every day while you take romantic game drives spotting lions and elephants. When you come back to camp you can enjoy the night activities at camp, take in an old movie or have a candlelit dinner at the restaurant. Most game parks will offer fabulous Christmas lunch spreads for all their guests.

Romantic Christmas vacations do not have to break the bank though, and you could settle for a quite location closer to home. Maybe you could visit a small, interesting town that you've heard very little about or explore a couple of different places over the time you are away. This road trip could be a lot of fun and you can see beautiful scenery and places steeped in history. Make sure you do book your accommodation for your Christmas night where they will have a great meal and decorations, unless you prefer to have a private picnic somewhere.

The list of romantic Christmas vacations could go on and on, but you may find that you can have a very romantic Christmas by simply going a few miles away to a secluded holiday house overlooking a river. There you could have all the luxuries of home but with no neighbors and friends popping over. Try your hand at fishing which can be extremely relaxing and fun. You can have a small, easy, stress free lunch and open presents whenever you feel like it. It could even be fun to stay up until midnight on Christmas Eve and open your presents then.

Where your romantic Christmas vacations happen to be is not so important, although it is exciting to visit and explore new places with the person you love over a special time of year, but more importantly it is about spending this festive season together even if you just stay at home.
